Bryson's worldview started from being born and raised in Sterling, Illinois, the once named "hardware capital of the world." What was once a river front town lined with manufacturing facilities is now a row of unoccupied buildings. He has seen firsthand what offshoring US manufacturing jobs oversees does to communities and local economies.

He envisions a Wisconsin that leads the Midwest in job growth and economic opportunity. This means creating an environment where Wisconsin businesses hire and produce here.

As a homeowner, he also has seen the rise of costs plaguing our communities. This, combined with rising property taxes is not letting Wisconsinites achieve the American Dream. As your Representative to the State Assembly, he will fight every day to bring opportunity and lower costs to the people of this state. His experience in both the United States Army and in the manufacturing sector will give him a unique view to the issues to help bring prosperity to Wisconsinites.

Priorities

Economic opportunity in Wisconsin is becoming more limited, with uneven job growth, slow wage increases, and rising costs putting pressure on families. At the same time, businesses face a regulatory environment of approximately 165,000 regulations, the 13th most regulated state in the country. This makes it harder to start, expand, and hire.

My commitment:

Cut unnecessary and outdated regulations to make it easier for small businesses to start and grow
Create a more competitive environment that attracts new investment and higher-paying jobs

Wisconsin’s energy supply depends heavily on a single nuclear facility, the Point Beach Nuclear Plant, which generates about 15 percent of the state’s electricity. With only one plant in operation, the state has limited nuclear capacity to meet growing demand and stabilize energy costs. Expanding nuclear energy could improve both affordability and long term reliability.

My commitment:

Work to expand nuclear energy as part of a broader all-of-the-above energy strategy
Strengthen grid reliability and increase long-term energy affordability for consumers

Wisconsin is facing a persistent achievement gap, with fewer than half of students meeting reading proficiency benchmarks by 4th and 8th grade. These early literacy challenges make it harder for students to succeed in advanced coursework and prepare for college, technical training, and skilled careers. Without strong reading and arithmetic foundations, many fall behind early and struggle to catch up later.

My commitment:

Adopt a Wisconsin version of Mississippi’s Literacy-Based Promotion Act, requiring early literacy screening, explicit phonics-based instruction, and targeted intervention for struggling readers
Expand school choice in Wisconsin by fully supporting access to charter schools and private school choice programs, giving families more high-quality, flexible education options tailored to their child’s needs

Healthcare costs in Wisconsin are rising, with families facing higher insurance premiums, prescription drug prices, and hospital bills. Limited price transparency makes it difficult for patients to know the true cost of care, while provider shortages in rural areas lead to longer wait times and reduced access. These challenges put growing pressure on both families and taxpayers as government programs become more costly and complex.

My commitment:

Work to increase price transparency so patients can compare costs and make informed healthcare decisions
Expand market-based reforms that increase competition, reduce regulatory barriers for providers, and help lower costs for families and small businesses

Waukesha families are feeling the impact of crime in Milwaukee, where criminal offenders are too often released without consequences. Activist District Attorney’s and low bail result in repeat offenses that put our community at risk here in Waukesha. This puts added strain on local law enforcement. When accountability breaks down, it puts law abiding residents at greater risk.

My commitment:

Demand stronger prosecution standards that prioritize public safety and hold repeat offenders accountable
Fully support law enforcement with the authority and resources needed to keep dangerous individuals off the streets

Property taxes across Wisconsin continue to rise, putting growing pressure on homeowners, renters, and small businesses. Governor Evers’ 400-year veto is the driving force behind it and that puts unnecessary strain on our taxpayers. Without meaningful reform and stronger taxpayer protections, families will continue to see rising costs with limited relief.

My commitment:
